Health and Wellbeing
At Paulerspury C.E. Primary School, we understand the need for everyone in our school to lead healthy lifestyles. We are committed to the health and wellbeing of our children and staff and we know it helps them to do their best and build upon their achievements.
We actively promote physical and emotional health, equipping our pupils with the understanding and skills they need to make informed decisions about their health, now and in the future.
By championing healthy eating, healthy lifestyles, emotional health and wellbeing, we aim to further raise standards and improve pupil achievement.
In conjunction with Paul Evans, our Healthier Child Advisor, and the award nominated Healthier Child Project, our staff and pupils have been working to integrating aspects of the Healthier Child Project into our school day. To find out more, please click here. We are increasing the amount of exercise we do, improving the quality of school packed lunches and encouraging uptake of our nutritious school cooked lunches.
We have recently been given the guidelines for Healthier Lunch Boxes by Northamptonshire County Council which we are encouraging all our children to work towards. Please click on the links below for healthy lunch box suggestions, active lifestyle choices and our Whole School Food Policy.

Our Cookery Club is very popular with our pupils and seeks to teach children how to cook in a healthy way.
Improving our sporting opportunities
This year has seen us greatly increase the amount of sporting opportunities for our pupils to participate in through PE coaching, sports clubs and sporting fixtures. The Sports ‘Colours’ awards are also very popular!
